well just to post an update for my 1 reader: i just found out for sure that i will be studying at the American University in Cairo immediately after I leave Yemen. I was accepted into their Forced Migration and Refugee Studies program which is one year long. Now I just have to figure out how I am going to pay for it. It’s also necessary to get an HIV test in order for me to study in Egypt. Yikes!

this post goes out to young alex who apparently checks my blog religiously every day for updates… well this will interest you alex, you can see villages burning and refugee camps in sudan on google earth. just type in sudan if you’ve already downloaded the application. this isn’t about yemen or the middle east, btw.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK
